Rates
For therapy: $120 per 45 minute session.
For psychological evaluations: Package price based on the estimated number of hours that will be spent answering the referral question. The hourly rate is $160/hour.
Insurance
Dr. Thompson is in-network and taking new clients for:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans
- Team Choice
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield Health Select
- Baylor Scott & White
If Dr. Thompson is out-of-network for your health insurer, you still may be able to reduce or eliminate your cost by submitting an out-of-network claim. Dr. Thompson can provide you with the paperwork you need for this. Insurance is definitely confusing! When most people call and ask “Do you take my insurance?” they mean “Are you in-network?”. However, many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits. Consult your insurer.
Dr. Thompson does provide a limited amount of pro bono therapy through My Red Tent.
Dr. Thompson is in the process of being credentialed with several more insurers, so call the office for up to date insurer information.
Payment
Dr. Thompson’s office is able to process most types of credit or debit cards. Importantly, you are able to use your health savings account (HSA) card. This reduces your out-of-pocket costs since HSA cards are loaded with pre-tax dollars.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand to avoid late-cancellation or no-show fees.
